My name is Laurette and I live in Somerset West, South Africa, where I teach and sell my arts and crafts from home. As you will see, when you look at my work, I have a wide variety of things that I do and I am always looking for new and exciting things to create. For instance the jersey that I am wearing here on the left is one that I created for myself a couple of years ago without a pattern. I love doing Freeform Crocheting, Knitting and Embroidery as it gives me the opportunity to just create what ever I feel like doing without the restriction of a pattern. I am an avid Quiller and have been doing this craft for many years now and supply my quilled embellishments to card makers and scrapbookers. It is also one of the many crafts that I teach. I have recently started working for our local crematorium, doing the entries in Calligraphy in their Book of Remembrance, which is a very challenging, but rewarding occupation. I give classes in Teabag Folding and design my own Teabag Folding Papers and Background Papers for those who would like to use them on Greeting cards and Scrapbooking. Another favourite pastime is Photography which gives me so much joy. You will see many of my photographs which are for sale as well.
